Randal Rheinheimer is the Deputy Division Leader for HPC Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He has worked in the HPC industry since 1996, as applications engineer, system administrator, system software developer, project lead, and manager. Randal has been associated with the deployment and operation of many large supercomputers and their infrastructure, including the CM-5 at LANL, ASCI White, Q, and Red Storm, and the petascale systems Roadrunner and Cielo. Randal began his HPC career with Thinking Machines Corporation, and still possesses a voodoo turkey leg placed in the CM-200 to ensure correct operation.
